Happy Easter!

Tournament yesterday was awful. Team played awfully. I did, however, win the best defensive player (aka. "Floorburn") award. I went home happy.
Also yesterday I did some shopping while in the city. I went to a little 'thrift" store called Plato's Closet and bought:
-1 American Eagle Skirt for $8 (tags still on, regularly $34.50)
-1 Gap Skirt for $6 (not brand new, but still nice)
-1 pair Aeropostale pants for $12 (nice)
-1 pair of North Face pants for $16 (!) (brand new!)
Total= $42
Am wonderful bargain shopper.

In total despair! I completely forgot about Anatomy chapter assignment. Is due Monday. Crap. Crap crap crap. Must read entire chapter + answer questions. Must go.

graaaagh. too early to be alive

Fricken frackin. This morning I was unceremoniously ousted from sleep by my mother, who cheerily flicked my light on and said, in a sing-song voice, "Riiise and Shiiiine!". Hsgfvstg. I have a volleyball tournament at 8 a.m. in the city, so i find it completely necessary to wake up at 4 a.m.
That is, until I actually have to get up at 4 a.m. Now all I want to do is fall back into a peaceful slumber and completely forget about important things such as volleyball tournaments and showers. But my mother is persistent, so I am finding myself up at 4:30, with zero time for shower-taking but time a-plenty to write in spiff new blog.
I hope this morning is not an ill portent of how the rest of the day will go. If so, might as well crawl back into bed and catch some more z's. Bleh. Must leave now, possibly will post later with tournament results.

the start of a love-hate relationship

I picked up my holga pics this afternoon. Am not sure whether to be severely disappointed or exuberant. I had an alright turnout: 8 pictures I am in love with. The only thing is, i developed 4 rolls of film.

FOUR.

Am in shock, but it would've cost me a hefty $40 if they all turned out. This time only cost me eight dollars and fifty-six cents. There were a few that I liked on the contact sheet but the photo-man didn't think I would want them, so i will have about 5 more (a whopping 5!) printed. But then again, I saw a thumbnail image that was, indeed, the size of my thumbnail. Hope they're not too terrible.

my blogging debut

Argh. So I have started a blog.
Had a rather difficult time with the name...but in the end I just mashed two words together.
Works nicely, I think.

Today I am going to get my first ever film (from my Holga) developed. Have four rolls. Am very excited (hence the abbreviated sentences).
Hopefully some of the shots turn out...
I will be sure to scan + post some of the good pictures here...if i can figure out how. (:
